A great many faults these days are caused by Spyware, Malware and Virii which have been inadvertently downloaded - quite often by music download programmes such as Limewire, Kazaa, IMesh, WinMX etc which can install many other spyware programmes which run in the background when you turn your PC on and cause it to slow down dramatically, and take it to web pages which you do not expect, and quite often cause lots of Pop-Ups. We can usually remove most of these quite easily and leave the programmes installed to prevent further infection. We can  remove virii and put anti - virus programmes on to prevent virii re-infecting your PC . We can even load you programmes to filter out all the spam emails in Outlook or Outlook Express, which so many of us seem to be plagued by these days.

We upgrade cases. Some older PCs were housed in big flat desktop cases which take up a great deal of desktop space. It used to be justifiable when you had a large CRT monitor, to park it on top of the flat desktop case, but as the price and also of course the size of LCD screens has come down to very realistic prices now, this argument no longer holds water. There are some very attractive upright cases around now which can be fitted under your desk. This makes an old PC look like a new PC for a very modest price !
